Hannah Waddingham Net Worth: A Closer Look
The $4 million estimate reflects a career of two distinct phases. West End leading ladies earn solid but not spectacular salaries; Waddingham’s financial step-change came with Ted Lasso (2020–2023), where her salary reportedly grew significantly across three seasons as the show became a cultural phenomenon. High-profile presenting gigs — including co-hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 — and roles in Game of Thrones (Septa Unella), Sex Education, and The Fall Guy (2024) added to her earnings.

Early Life and Education
Hannah Waddingham was born on July 28, 1974, in Wandsworth, London. Her mother, Melodie Kelly, was an opera singer, and Waddingham grew up steeped in music. Career Journey
Waddingham’s stage career is the stuff of West End legend: leading roles in Spamalot (earning an Olivier nomination as the Lady of the Lake), Into the Woods, The Wizard of Oz, and Kiss Me, Kate (a second Olivier nomination). For years, she was theater royalty largely unknown to television audiences. According to Wikipedia, Hannah Waddingham won a Primetime Emmy in 2021 for playing Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso.
That changed with small but memorable TV roles — most infamously as Septa Unella, the shaming septa in Game of Thrones (“Shame!”). In 2020, she was cast as Rebecca Welton, the formidable owner of AFC Richmond, in Ted Lasso. Her performance — steely, vulnerable, and hilarious — won her the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2021. She went on to co-host Eurovision 2023 to widespread acclaim and starred in the BBC drama Tom Jones.
